Each time I spend countless hours trawling through my daily reads on fashion and China-related news, I’m always somehow awed to discover new creative talent that I would not have found otherwise. A large part of the reason I’ve chosen to spend so much time on this blog is because I want people outside to see the China I can see: one that is sometimes mistakenly stereo-typed, but one that is always complex with its diversity of people and their creative dreams. The following links are just one small sample of what I’ve come across. Enjoy!
Jeffrey is director of Blanq (a boutique design agency) and Blanqworld.com (a creative platform where creative professionals can upload their works). His works include modern interpretations of photographic cubism, traditional Chinese art, and Venetian masks.
Beijing Art Scene | Leap Magazine
Described as the “international art magazine of China”, Leap is an excellently curated site featuring the arresting visions of China’s new dawn of artists. Not to be missed!
If you’ve followed me on Twitter, you’ll see that I’ve tweeted about this amazing blog which also has its own store! The website captures the spirit of Beijing fashion: ideas and expressions captured in a minimalistic and careful.
China’s Answer to Lookbook | Moko
There’s already a Chinese Tumblr, why not a Chinese Lookbook? Although similar, Moko also features models, photographers, graphic designers etc. It’s a much more polished version of another Lookbook-a-like, Voguemate.
