Koi fish paintings have played a long and illustrious role in Chinese and Japanese art, often depicted in smooth, minimalist styles. Steeped in buddhist history, this motif is often associated with wealth, prosperity and adversity. This video features the work of Riusuke Fukahori, who made his debut exhibition in London’s ICN gallery last December. The three-dimensional pieces were created using acrylic and clear resin.
