Motion - Redesigning the Japanese Capsule Hotel

If you don’t already know, I have a very soft spot for both Monocle Magazine and Japanese culture, hence why I am posting this up. This video looks at a newly redesigned capsule hotel in Kyoto, with bare minimalist features and functional design. Found mostly in Japan, capsule hotels have a clearly  different offering from luxury hotels. Just as there are certain airlines in the travel industry who now offer streamlined, bare services, it makes sense that there should be an equivalent in the hotel industry.
